Google is one of the most powerful
corporations in the world, with many believing the technology giant is responsible for monitoring our every move online.
However, that power might be more overarching than we could ever have imagined, after reports of a static electric field existing outside Google’s London HQ.
People say they’ve received electric shocks outside the building, while videos purportedly show the phenomenon in action, with hair
appearing to stand on end.
Although Google has declined to comment on the supposed phenomenon, an electric buzz
can be heard in one of the videos.
While some Reddit users have questioned the authenticity of the videos, others have speculated that it could be caused either by a problem with electrical wires underneath the street or by the design of the building with a mesh of metal poles generating static electricity.
Whatever the cause of the unusual
phenomenon, UK Power Networks earlier confirmed that the area was safe.
