Deaf man is moved to tears after discovering his entire neighbourhood has learned sign language so they can talk to him
Muharrem sets out for the day in Istanbul unaware he is being filmed for an advert in which he meets a host of strangers who communicate with him in a series of staged encounters. They include a taxi driver (top left), a man who deliberately drops a bag of fruit into his path (top right) and a woman who bumps into him accidentally on purpose (bottom left). In a final flourish an electronic advertising board is set up to communicate with him, offering the heartwarming message: 'Because a world without barriers is our dream as well.' When the elaborate stunt is revealed, he bursts into tears (bottom right) and embraces all those who took part
