Designer Jyo John Mulloor is brilliant at bringing his imagination to life.
Inspired by the discomfort Jyo has faced with shoes, he wondered would it would be like to wear shoes… without actually wearing shoes.
So, with the desire to create a shoe that feels as though you aren’t actually wearing it, Jyo brought his ideas to life in a series which he has called ‘Barefoot’.
But his ‘Barefoot’ brand doesn’t require the typical shoe – it actually questions the idea of implanted footwear, where the footwear itself will be physically attached to the skin.
They are also concepts at the moment but, we’ll warn you now, the designs you are about to witness may leave you feeling a little uneasy (unless you have a foot fetish) but you’ll be blown away by the uniqueness at the same time. So it’s all good.
Have fun kicking a ball around with these studs. Watch out for your toes, though
Or, if you’re into making a statement, go for these see-through wedges. We’re hoping you don’t have a phobia of weird skin pictures
Just to give those with a foot fetish something to dream about tonight
While currently the inventive designs remain as just that – designs – Jyo does hope that his implanted footwear will catch on one day.
It’ll definitely give the body-mod scene a run for its money.
