Tech: China aims to become cyberpower by 2020

BEIJING: China aims to use the internet to bolster its slowing economy and become a cyberpower by 2020, the five-year development plan by the Chinese government has revealed.

China also aims to boost its spending on research and development to 2.5% of gross domestic product for the five-year period.
