After an electoral campaign that seems to have lasted our entire lives, Americans are finally posting their ballots for the next President of the United States.
According to data from Real Clear Politics, the latest polls are showing Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton with a fairly respectable lead. American woman explains to us why Donald Trump gets her vote in the US election
Clinton is currently ahead in the national polling average with about 46.8%, while Republican candidate Donald Trump is behind with 43.6%.
In fact only one poll, the IBD/TIPP poll, is putting Trump ahead nationally by two points. All of the rest are reporting an overall lead for Clinton.
And if you’re interested in third-party candidates, Libertarian Gary Johnson is polling a bit lower with 5% nationally. Independent candidate and a former CIA operations officer Evan McMullin is also enjoying surprising popularity in Utah, with 24% in the state’s polls. Trump is leading in that state with 72%.
